to get information from arizona state, county, city and
other governments you can use this law which is the
arizona version of the federal freedom of information act.
its:
        A.R.S. Section 39-121

a while back i asked the TSA (touristism sports authority,
the folks who are picking the site for the new cardnal
football stadium) to give me the e-mail address of their 
board members.  they told me the information was secret 
and i couldnt have it.

i wrote them back and told them i was demanding the
information per "A.R.S. Section 39-121" and would
sue them if they didnt give me the information.

i was suprized when their legal staff emailed me
all the information i requested 2 or 3 days later.

on the other hand i asked the city of tempe for some
information about their reglious displays on top
of the tempe butte again demanding it per 
"A.R.S. Section 39-121".

the royal city council woman Barbara Carter sent me
an e-mail saying she didnt have to obey the law
because she had never seen it (boy i wish i could
get out of obeying laws by claiming i had not read
them). and it took the city of tempe 4 months to 
answer repeted requests for the information and
they still have not given me all the information
i have requested.
